Emily Itami is the author of FAULT LINES, KAKIGORI SUMMER, and alot of travel writing. Most of the evidence of her illustrious magazine-writing career was accidentally thrown out when she moved house, which has been a considerable blow to the industry. Fortunately she and her husband are almost back on speaking terms about it, although she still likes to bring up the lost-forever interview with Shirley Hughes whenever they argue. She grew up in Tokyo but currently lives with her relatively feral children in London. Her hobbies are unpublishably run-of-the-mill, and she has now lost the plot from writing about herself in the third person.
